Full house!

I don’t know if it’s the warm weather or the threat of rain, but we’ve been filling up for daycare lately. The dogs love the pool on hot days, although the attendents wonder if the mopping will ever end.

A couple of new dogs really stand out these days. Kimba, who came in somewhat trepidatious and with limited social skills, has turned into a champion player and has taught many of our other charges the joys of a friendly game of tug-of-war. As long as he gets his naps he is one of the best friends in the playroom, and his mom says he is less likely to jump on strangers during their walks. Zoe, a goldendoodle, has been a great addition to the playroom. Of all the new young girls in the mix, she is the easiest to get along with. She plays hard but is a quiet peace-maker, too. As the day wears on she fights for laptime with our other young star, Mississippi. Both dogs are too big for a lap, but they don’t quite know it yet. I hope someday we can get a picture of the two of them balancing on tiptoes for the main snuggle spot. Speaking of Mississippi, she was all but climbing the fences when she came in, but won all of our hearts with her sweet disposition and penchant for tricks. There is no dog that Mississippi doesn’t get along with. And last but not least, Beagle Bailey, the cutest beagle EVER, has become a stand-up pooch as he hits his one year mark.
